RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies)
What is your current position?
I lead communications and marketing for Raytheon’s Air Power strategic business unit. I also serve as a public affairs officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Why have you decided to pursue a PhD?
I’ve always loved school and being in a classroom, and for as long as I can remember, I have wanted to pursue a PhD. I hope my research is able to add value to society. Finally, as a non-tech employee in a tech industry, I look forward to the added credibility and knowledge a PhD can provide.
Why did you choose to get your PhD from the Daniels College of Business?
At 17, I was admitted to DU for my undergrad, but it wasn’t the right choice for me at the time. I’ve always loved the city and the campus, and now that I am a Denver resident, DU was at the top of my list! Additionally, the Executive PhD program will allow me to pursue my academic goals without sacrificing my career goals, as many PhD programs require.
What are your career goals or dream job after you complete your PhD?
I’d like to continue to develop as a communications and business professional.
