The business analytics major includes a mix of modeling, data management and programming courses using tools such as Python, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau and PowerBI. The program includes a 3-course sequence in database and data warehousing.
The degree concludes with a capstone class where students work on a real-world problem for a nonprofit or business partner. Past partners have included the City of Denver, Denver Police, RTD (Denver Regional Transportation District) and Levi Strauss.
Students also have an opportunity to earn a global master’s degree with the University of Western Australia in Business Information and Logistics Management.
A business analytics minor will provide you with the data-driven decision-making skills necessary for any business to thrive in today’s competitive environment. The business analytics minor is a great complement to other business majors such as finance, marketing, accounting, and hospitality management, as well as majors such as computer science or political science.
