Who We Are
The Consumer Insights and Business Innovation Center (CiBiC) is an interdisciplinary center established for the study of human behavior with an emphasis on market-driven results. Research conducted at CiBiC relates to how humans feel, think and behave, with a focus on innovation.
The Denver-based consumer insights Center engages students, faculty and members of the community by providing a multi-functional space for collecting and interpreting primary and secondary data, including conducting various type of qualitative and quantitative research.
We conduct research on consumer insights to expose students to different types of methods and create stronger connections with businesses, particularly within the Denver area.
Our Research Model for Consumer Insights
The Center uses a proprietary research framework, referred to as an “Innovation by Design Journey,” to generate meaningful consumer insights and inspire innovative solutions. It guides students, faculty and businesses along this journey that starts with discovering the needs, feelings and behaviors of consumers and ends with ideas for developing new and improved market offerings.

CiBiC is the research center of the Marketing Department within the Daniels College of Business at DU that is dedicated to:
- Fostering the creation of new knowledge related to insights and innovation
- Enabling students, faculty and professionals to learn how to develop actionable insights that lead to innovative outcomes
