The Daniels College of Business Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter is the 24th oldest chapter in the United States, having been founded in 1926. Daniels graduate students are invited to join every quarter. Eligibility is determined in a student’s last quarter by class standing, based on GPA. Graduate students invited to join are in the top 20 percent of their class.

Inductees are awarded a BGS honor pin, a certificate and the BGS cord to wear at commencement.

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international business honor society for the top 5% of business school programs around the world. It’s analogous to Phi Beta Kappa in the arts and Sigma Xi in the sciences and engineering.

The mission of the international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

Current members

Membership in BGS is the highest recognition a graduate business student can achieve worldwide.

Members currently reside in all 50 U. S. states and more than 190 countries. Notable members include Nobel Prize winners, Olympians, inventors, CEOs of major global companies and nonprofit organizations, deans of the top business schools, and others who are making the world a better place through social enterprise, service, and leadership.
