This course covers the critical role of franchisee support in the franchise ecosystem, leading to improved franchisee performance, satisfaction, and retention. Participants will learn to develop comprehensive training programs, onboard new franchisees effectively, and provide ongoing support and guidance to lower monitoring costs, create brand value and promote franchisee success. Through hands-on exercises and advanced methodologies, participants will learn to establish trust, communicate clearly, develop action plans, utilize tools for performance enhancement, foster cross-functional collaboration, uphold ethical standards, and resolve conflicts effectively. Kevin Betts
Executive Director, Liniger Center on Franchising
Kevin joined Daniels College of Business as the inaugural senior executive director of the Liniger Center on Franchising in January 2023, bringing over 25 years of franchising experience. As senior executive director, Kevin is responsible for establishing and executing strategy for the Liniger Center, in effort to become the preeminent resource for franchising in the region, providing education, networking opportunities and thought leadership.
Prior to joining the University of Denver, Kevin started his career with Fitness Together Franchise Corporation (now, WellBiz Brands, Inc.), where he was instrumental in launching and growing two start-up franchise concepts into the marketplace. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer for Profile Plan, LLC., a franchise company specializing in weight management services, where he was responsible for all day-to-day franchise activity and corporate-owned store operations.
Eric Goetsch
President & CEO, L5 Fitness
Eric brings over 25 years in wellness and fitness and 18 years in franchise leadership. His career began as a clinic manager for a start-up, then transitioned to Director of Franchise Support for Elements and Fitness Together, where he built essential support systems. Promoted to Vice President of Fitness Together in 2013, Eric led initiatives to stabilize and grow the business. In 2019, he became Brand Vice President for 38 Massage Envy clinics, turning an underperforming market into a high-performing region. Since 2022, Eric has been President and CEO of L5 Fitness, overseeing 100+ studios across six regions, where he drives growth and operational excellence.
Janet Redwine
Director of Program Success, Executive Education
Janet is a certified practitioner of the Insights Discovery Framework and serves as the Director of Program Success at Executive Education. In this role, she leads the programs and operations teams in crafting exceptional learning experiences. Janet’s deep passion for education is evident as she furthers her expertise by pursuing a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at the Morgridge College of Education.
A former U.S. Olympic artistic swimmer who competed in the 2008 games, Janet remains active in her personal life, enjoying time with her husband and two daughters. She brings her unique perspective and commitment to learning to the Franchise Business Coach Bootcamp, where she will teach the Insights Discovery component and explore effective communication strategies in the workplace.
