Anthony Hayter’s research focuses on how statistical tools can assist managers as they make decisions under conditions of partial information or uncertainty.

His research highlights the importance of statistical and quantitative analytical skills in business and management today – how they can help you if you have them, or hurt you if you don’t have them. He has studied case studies from various countries and industrial sectors as illustrations of how data analysis techniques can be applied to real problems and how they can have an impact on the company’s financial bottom line.

Hayter is interested in whether businesses today are making efficient use of the data they have available, and whether they would be surprised by their own data.

His experiences gained from his research, teaching in the business school environment and consulting with companies will be presented in his courses.
