Do you want to build your skills but aren’t ready to commit to a master’s degree? You can start by taking courses toward a 4- or 6-course certificate in Real Estate Development, Real Estate Investment or Construction Project Management. If you decide you want to continue on and earn your master’s, you can apply the credits you’ve already earned. Learn more about graduate certificates.

We welcome applicants from all professional backgrounds and academic disciplines. No prior work experience—or background in business—is required. To apply, you must submit:

- $100 application fee
GMAT or GRE scores are optional. If you determine that your application will be stronger with GMAT or GRE scores, please submit them when you apply.
All accepted students are automatically considered for scholarships. No additional application is needed.

What is the age range of people in the program?
We have ages from directly out of undergrad and people who are in their 50’s making career changes. So the group creates a very interesting classroom experience for everyone.
How long does the program take to complete?
The program is very flexible. You can complete it in 18 months to 2 years – this is sweet spot for most full time students, because it allows them to have time to take part in the various competitions and extra resume building activities the Burns School offers. However, we do have part-time students who take advantage of the flexibility of the program and take 3-5 years to complete.
Are there additional scholarships available for this program?
Yes, the industry is full of different organizations offering scholarship opportunities for students pursuing a degree in either construction or real estate.
