Maria Khan chose DU when she was recruited to play women’s soccer, and she has enjoyed a successful college athletic career ever since. When she’s not goalkeeping for the DU team, Maria is studying International Business, and plans to graduate in 2013. However, Maria’s major isn’t her only connection to the international community. Despite being a Colorado native, she feels a strong connection to her Pakistani heritage and after graduation hopes to be able to travel around the world and eventually establish a non-profit to help underprivileged children pursue their athletic potential. Maria will definitely be a Daniels Pioneer to watch as she pursues her passions for soccer, business, and community service!
