U.S. News ranks two more Daniels College of Business MBA programs in top 100

The Denver MBA continues to climb in the U.S. News and World Report rankings. U.S News released its 2022 Best Graduate Schools ranking Tuesday, March 30, placing two MBA programs at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business in the top 100.

The Denver MBA, the full-time program, is ranked No. 77 in the nation. That is up three spots from last year. The part-time Professional MBA program is ranked No. 73.

“We reimagined the full-time MBA program more than five years ago and have seen our rankings climb ever since,” says Daniels Dean Vivek Choudhury. “The rankings are a reflection of the hard work we’ve put into an exceptional student experience. We know our students are prepared well from the challenge-driven curriculum we designed; we see the results in our placement outcomes.”

Instead of completing a series of traditional courses, Denver MBA students compete in four challenges, which allows them to test and refine their skills in real business settings. The challenges entail building a startup, supporting an organization working for the social good, solving a corporate problem and traveling outside the U.S. to work for a global organization.

For the U.S. News Best Business Schools rankings, all 486 business schools accredited by the international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business were surveyed in fall 2020 and early 2021. The full-time MBA methodology calculations are based on peer assessment, recruiter assessment, placement success, GMAT and GRE scores, undergraduate GPA and acceptance rates.

“These rankings show the caliber of all of our MBA programs and the value of providing academic and co-curricular programming,” says Carol Johnson, assistant dean of MBA Programs. “We’re determined to equip our students to perform so well, they are indispensable to their organizations.”

U.S. News collects similar data but uses different methodology for the part-time MBA program.

In January, U.S. News also released its 2021 Best Online MBA Programs ranking. The MBA@Denver, Daniels’ online MBA program, was ranked No. 59 in the nation, and No. 35 in the nation for Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans.
