Daniels College of Business online MBA ranked by Poets&Quants

The University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business was ranked No. 23 in the nation for best online MBA programs in 2021 by Poets&Quants. The online graduate and undergraduate business education news publication announced its 2021 rankings Nov. 9, 2020.

“We are honored to have our online MBA program, MBA@Denver, be recognized among the top programs in the nation,” says Daniels Dean Vivek Choudhury. “This ranking reflects our continued effort to deliver a practical, relevant and rigorous academic experience and ensure our students are indispensable to their organizations.”

Poets&Quants based its rankings on three core dimensions of online MBA programs: the quality of the incoming students; an assessment by graduates of the MBA experience on both the academic and the extracurricular activities; and career outcomes of a program’s graduates.

The MBA@Denver is the newest MBA offering at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. The program launched in January 2018 and graduated its first students in fall 2019.

“It is an accomplishment to have such a new program already ranked,” says MBA@Denver Assistant Dean Carol Johnson. “The MBA@Denver program delivers a very interactive and engaging student experience.”

Unlike many other online MBA programs, the MBA@Denver courses all have a required 90-minute synchronous session each week, affording students the opportunity to interact in a live setting, discuss the asynchronous content and exchange ideas and perspectives with each other and also with a faculty member. In addition, the small class sizes, about 15 people, allow students to quickly build relationships with each other and the faculty, and to learn from one another.
