Why did you choose Daniels

I chose Daniels College of Business because of its reputation for strong ethical principles and its connections within the local business community. While continuing to work from home, I wanted to expand my network with others who are forward-thinking and care about the future of Colorado and our planet. More tangibly, the different academic concentrations offered also provided a lot of flexibility for me to pivot my education and my career as I see fit to meet those goals.

Previous Education

MSc in economics and strategy in emerging markets from Maastricht University; BA in international affairs and BA in economics from CU Boulder

Pre-Grad School Experience

After my master’s degree, I was hired for professional services in a tax software startup. Specifically, I work with the R&D tax credit, which allows me to work with a variety of industries and many different types of people. Working on a relatively small team, I’ve been able to quickly work my way up the ladder and hope to use my experiences at Daniels to continue growing.

Post Grad School Goal

My immediate goal is to address technical blind spots I have in my current industry. There’s always something more to learn! Further down the line, I hope to parlay the connections and skills I learn at Daniels into efforts that will better address sustainable business practices and economic development.

Hobbies

Depending on the season, I’m outside golfing, snowboarding or camping. My fiancé, Alice, and I love traveling internationally and seeing all the sights of this vast world. Inspired by our dog, Milo, I volunteer for the Denver Dumb Friends League helping take care of the little doggies without a home.
