I chose Daniels because of the rich tradition that focuses on ethical leadership and in-class instruction and the tight cohort relationship that increases skill sets from a variety of backgrounds. I felt it important to be in person and can connect with the University of Denver campus as a part of a graduate program weekly, versus only being on campus 4-6 times a year. The one thing that I took away from the staff at Daniels was the personal connection I made with professors and administrators, which sets this program apart from others. I’m also a huge fan of hockey and seeing the University of Denver thrive in athletics is fun to be a part of.
Indiana University Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, with a Focus on Sports Marketing and Management
I have been in sales working for the Boston Beer Company for 16 years. I’ve had the privilege of taking on six different positions within the sales department. I’ve also been fortunate to serve on a youth hockey board as the director of recreation; coach hockey, baseball and lacrosse; and be a part of a local church group as a children’s leader.
My goal post-grad school is to add more value to the Boston Beer Company as a leader within the sales leadership team. I’m passionate about building a bench within our organization and hope to take the skill sets learned in the EMBA program to add more value to my company. I also hope to become more involved in the community and hope to make connections that allow me to add value to the greater Denver area.
