Why did you choose Daniels?

I was drawn to Daniels for many reasons. I knew I wanted an in-person experience, and Daniels offered that along with the cohort structure, which is proving to be invaluable. I was also excited for the international component to the PMBA program. Most importantly, I was impressed by the personalized experience I had through the admissions process and how I never felt like just a number. I continued to be amazed by the support I continue to receive as a student to ensure I will be successful both in the classroom and in my professional goals.

Previous Education

BS in Nursing from Northern Michigan University

Pre-grad school experience

I started my career as a Pediatric Critical Care (PICU) nurse at a children’s hospital in western Michigan, where I worked for 3 years. I then worked for 5 years as a PICU travel nurse in many locations throughout the states. I pivoted into the healthcare informatics space for a little over a year before perusing a dream to work as a nurse in New Zealand. After a year in NZ, I moved back to Colorado to take a role in healthcare IT, working as an applications analyst. I am now working in a healthcare IT strategic planning role for large hospital organization.

Post-grad school goal

Right now, I have my sights set on a position as a Product Manager at a mid-sized healthcare IT startup. I would love to be able to leverage my clinical and IT knowledge in a more entrepreneurship space, working to make both clinicians’ and patients’ experience with technology as painless as possible.

Hobbies

In my free time, you’ll find me playing outside. I love hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and running. My biggest passion is travel and my list of places to visit always seems to grow. I also love reading, cooking and tackling some small home improvement projects.
