Life in the Mile High City

Part of being a Daniels student is taking full advantage of the amazing place you’ll call home.

Denver is a fast-growing city with a booming economy and usually clear and sunny skies, even in winter. When the area does get snow, the sun often melts it away in days. Colorado is one of the healthiest states in the country, with a population that loves to be outside and active.

The city’s dining, arts and culture scenes are growing faster than ever before. Denver has earned its own Michelin guide and hosts more than 150 brewpubs across the city. There are dozens of museums and theaters large and small, and music venues ranging from local pubs to the world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Easy Access to Austin

If you’re looking to return to Austin for a weekend or during breaks from school, Denver International Airport offers numerous flight options. Located about 30 minutes from campus, DIA is a major hub for United Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Southwest Airlines. Southwest alone offers 107 weekly flights between the two cities, with an average of six nonstop flights per day.
