Jed Summerton

Jed Summerton is a senior practitioner of enterprise data strategy and improving business performance through data analytics. As a consultant he has served over 80 companies in developing and operating large-scale data programs and analytic ecosystems. His expertise is grounded in his deep experience as an internal technical executive of best practices in large organizations, including GE, NASA, Level 3 Communications (now Lumen) and DaVita Healthcare Partners.

Jed teaches masters-level business analytics in the MBA and MSc programs at Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, where he chairs the advisory board for the department of Business Information and Analytics. He has served as a faculty member of The Data Warehousing Institute, is a best-practices judge for numerous technical awards and is a frequent speaker at industry forums.

Schedule and Format

This workshop will be offered in person on the University of Denver campus. Class begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. each day, and lunch is included.

To prepare for this class you will need to complete a few short action items that generally take 20-30 minutes. Please expect an email two to three weeks before the class begins with details on how to complete these action items.

Participants taking the workshop for credit will have an assignment to complete at the end of the course.

Non-Credit: $1,980
Discounts are available for nonprofits, current or former military, government, DU alumni, Daniels corporate partners and three or more individuals from the same organization. Visit the program non-credit (pay with credit card) registration page or contact us for more information.

Eligible DU Staff can use their Tuition Waiver to participate in Executive Education workshops, gaining valuable knowledge and skills for a fraction of the workshop cost. Workshops must be taken for-credit, and to receive credit, you will need to complete a short assignment at the end of the workshop.

There is an $8 tech fee that is not covered by the tuition waiver.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your registration for this workshop, you may transfer your enrollment to a future session, send someone to take your place, or cancel anytime up to seven business days prior to the start of the first class.

Classes requiring an assessment such as Insights cannot be refunded after the assessment has been taken. Your enrollment will be automatically transferred to the next class and you cannot send someone in your place.

If you provide us with less than seven business day’s notice or fail to attend, you will be liable for the entire workshop fee and your enrollment will be automatically transferred to the next class.
