Join the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business for two days of wine, food, music and art.

DU Vin Festival features something for everyone including a Wine Pairing Dinner with a special guest chef, seminars on wine and food topics, a chef/student pairing challenge with top chefs from around the metro area, a Grand Tasting with over 100 wines to sample, live music, art and more!

With so much to offer, the DU Vin Festival manages to preserve an intimate, boutique experience for our guests. As an added bonus, the Festival is entirely planned by students with proceeds going toward student scholarships for the Hospitality Management program.

Sample Fine Wines, Nurture Young Minds: A Little Festival with a Big Experience

The annual DU Vin Festival at the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management is the product of a class of senior Hospitality Management students in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. These talented students plan, execute and coordinate all aspects of the event with the guidance of professionals in the food, wine and hospitality industry. They use their event management skills honed from previous classroom and work experience to execute an outstanding operation that provides both thought leadership to the trade and an excellent experience for patrons. The student management team practices strategic event marketing, develops relevant programming, and recruits and trains student volunteers to work the Festival.

DU Vin Festival is an experiential learning opportunity that enables students to showcase the valuable skills they have learned over the past four years at the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management. As all proceeds benefit student scholarships in the Hospitality Management program, this event provides future students with exciting experiential learning opportunities just like DU Vin.

2017 DU Vin Wine Pairing Dinner May 11

We are excited to announce that James Beard Award Winner, Chef Chris Shepherd from Underbelly Houston, will be joining us as our guest chef for the 2017 DU Vin Wine Pairing Dinner. Shepherd has been named one of the Top 10 Best New Chefs in America by Food & Wine and we are extremely excited to announce his awe-inspiring five-course menu!

2017 Grand Tasting Featured Restaurants

The restaurants below will be in attendance at the 2017 Grand Tasting. Each restaurant will feature their signature food dish to be paired with a selected wine. Guests of the Grand Tasting will have tabs on their wristbands giving them the opportunity to vote for their favorite restaurant and wine pairing combination during the event. At 3:30 p.m, the winning restaurant will be announced and will receive $500 to the charity of their choice. Buy tickets now and see who wins on June 13!

2016 DU Vin Festival

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to last year’s festival and supported the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management. 2016 was our biggest turnout ever: tickets to the festival sold out within a week of the event! The wines, information sessions and restaurant vendors were outstanding and everyone had a fantastic time. We hope to see everyone again this year!
