William Russell is a Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, based in Chicago. Russell is responsible for electronic sales and trading of equities, options and futures for broker dealers, globally. Russell has spent 25+ years in the Financial Services Sales and Trading industry in roles spanning Denver, New York, London and Chicago markets. Previous to his current role, Russell held various positions with Kemper Securities Group, Salomon Smith Barney, Jeffries & Company, and most recently SunGard’s Global Trading Division.

Recognized for his leadership, sales performance, and service in industry, Russell is also the President of the Security Trader Association of Chicago (STAC); an association that has 500+ members including security trading professionals across all markets. Russell also sits on the Board of Directors of the STAC Scholarship Fund, an organization that has awarded nearly $400,000 in charitable donations and scholarship awards since its inception.
