Wade Loo
Wade Loo (BS 1980) is the chair of the board of directors of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) in California. SVCF is one of the largest community foundations in the U.S.
Previously he was a member of the board and chair of the audit committee of Guidance Software, Inc., a public software company based in Pasadena, California, that provides the EnCase suite of solutions for forensic investigations and endpoint data security. Also, he was an independent director and audit committee chair for Kofax Limited, a leading supplier of software solutions to help enterprises manage the capture, transformation and exchange of business information.
Wade is a retired audit partner with KPMG, after spending 30 years in both local and international environments. Prior to retiring, he served as the senior partner in charge of audit for the Northern California Business Unit, which consists of the KPMG offices in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento and Honolulu. In addition, Wade led KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute (ACI) in Silicon Valley. KPMG’s ACI provides corporate governance and best practices support to board members through publications, seminars and share forums.
Wade is also the past chairman of the board of JobTrain, an organization helping people in need in East Palo Alto and surrounding communities find meaningful jobs.
Wade is a member of the California CPAs, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of CPAs. He received his BS in Accounting at the University of Denver in 1980.
