Steven Laposa
Biography at a Glance
Dr. Steven Laposa has more than 30 years of commercial real estate, construction management, geospatial analysis, economic consulting, and academic experience.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Dr. Laposa spent five years as the Endowed Chair in Real Estate at Colorado State University, 14 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Director in the Global Strategic Real Estate Research group, and research positions with LaSalle Investment Advisory and Alex Brown Kleinwort Benson Realty Advisors. He has also guest lectured at several of the top real estate programs in the U.S.
Currently, Dr. Laposa is a Principal with Alvarez & Marsal’s Insight Center – International Economics and Real Estate in Denver, Colorado. He is also a member of the American Real Estate Society (Past President), the Urban Land Institute, Homer Hoyt Fellow, CoreNet, National Association of Business Economists, American Economic Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. In addition to a wide variety of industry articles and as a frequent presenter at industry and academic conferences, Dr. Laposa has held editorial board positions on six academic journals and has numerous peer-reviewed publications.
