Sid Simonson
Biography at a Glance
Sid Simonson (MBA 2014, MS 2015) is the deputy finance lead for the OSIRIS REx Spaceship Program at Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he has worked since 2009. He graduated from the Lockheed Martin Financial Leadership Development Program in 2012.
Simonson grew up in Littleton, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was a “Ralphie Runner.” He also attended Colorado State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and was awarded the Albert C. Yates Student Leadership Award in 2009. He graduated with honors from the University of Denver with a Professional MBA in Finance and Economics in Public Policy in 2014 and a Master’s of Science in Management in 2015.
Simonson was the first Chairperson of the Rocky Mountain Student Media Corporation and interned in the Colorado Senate. He currently serves on the Front Range Community College Business School Advisory Board, the Fort Collins Transportation Board, and the Larimer County Community Corrections Board. Simonson has received five President’s Volunteer Service Awards from the White House.
