Sandy Jacobs
A skilled tax professional for more than 30 years, Sandy Jacobs (BA 1993, MBA 1998) is a principal at KPMG, leading the firm’s industries for the National State and Local tax function as well as the Bay Area US Indirect Tax practice. Prior to joining KPMG, Sandy was the senior director of global indirect tax for Best Buy Co., during which time she increased tax accuracy for the company and streamlined international operations. She spent the early years of her career at PwC providing comprehensive tax and accounting services to telecommunications, retail and technology companies.
A change agent and collaborator, throughout her career Sandy has strengthened tax capabilities and delivered financial results for multinational organizations by employing leading-edge technology solutions and data analytics. She is passionate about advancing the accounting profession and empowering the next generation of diverse, forward-thinking business leaders.
Sandy currently serves as a board member for the Girls Scouts of Northern California and is a member of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women executive leadership team. She previously served on the boards of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute and is a former member of the Business Advisory Council of the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board.
