Why did you choose Daniels?

I chose Daniels for the location and lifestyle, strong alumni network and small, intimate program size. As someone who is using an MBA to change careers, the interest DU took in me early on demonstrated that students are more than a number here. That feeling has been reinforced on my journey thus far and I greatly value the sense of community and family-like atmosphere.

Previous Education

BS in Equine Science, Minor in Business Administration, Colorado State University

Pre-Grad School Experience

I spent 10 years in the event management and marketing space aka the niche world of fair and rodeo. My undergraduate degree led me to Austin, Texas, where I served as a senior manager at Rodeo Austin. My department facilitated livestock and horse shows, agricultural education opportunities, fairgrounds attractions, concessions and the carnival. This past summer, I moved to Colorado early to serve as the interim marketing director for the Colorado State Fair.

Post Grad School Goal

I am interested in exploring the retail industry. My sister works in Europe for Levi Strauss & Co. and has loved her experience. She is my role model and I am considering following in her path! I have declared marketing as my concentration and am investigating product management roles.

Hobbies

As a recovering horse girl, I still enjoy horseback riding and love being active outdoors. My sister has whetted my appetite for international travel and new cultures. I have been working on my French for the past few years. I am thrilled to be back in Colorado and look forward to exploring Denver area dog parks and wine bars. I’m also on the hunt for the city’s best gluten free pizza!
