Ali Machado

BIOGRAPHY AT A GLANCE
Ali Guillermo Machado V. is the finance internship director in the Daniels College of Business. In this capacity, he is responsible for Internship development activities for undergraduate finance majors and graduate students in the Master of Science in Applied Quantitative Finance. Additionally, he is responsible for maintaining and creating relationships with employers, specifically financial institutions.

Prior to joining Daniels, Machado was one of the co-founders of Commonwealth Bank, where he served as Chairman of the Board from January 2010 until June 2015. Mr. Machado also served on the Board of Directors of Ann Melkin Consulting LLC and Ann Melkin Corporation, a group of companies with interests and holdings in the financial sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. Machado served on the Board of Directors of Perfilnet.com, a joint venture of regional media companies in Latin America from January 2000 until July 2011. Machado has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector and the banking industry through senior management responsibilities in several areas including Corporate Banking, Cash Management Services, Credit Cards and Off Shore Banking. He held senior positions in Financial Institutions such as Citibank N.A., Delsur Banco Universal and Republic International Bank.

Machado served on the Daniels College of Business Executive Advisory Board from 2015 to 2017.

EDUCATION
Machado received an MBA from the University of Denver (1998) and a Systems Engineering degree from Universidad Metropolitana (1992), Caracas, Venezuela.
