Career Services

Daniels Career Services

Daniels Career Services provides services and tools needed to realize your career goals. Students can explore career options, prepare for interviews, advance their own professional development and build successful business networks.

All students utilizing Daniels Career Services resources are expected to follow our Professional Etiquette Policies.

Graduate Students

Most graduate business students are only with us for one to two years. You can’t delay–your career search started before you even matriculated! While each of our degree programs are unique, we provide services and events across the college, and specific career programming tailored to different degrees. Degree programs can also have required career content.

Undergraduate Students

Four years may seem like a long time. College life is busy, filled with classes and activities, and it goes by fast! Increasingly, companies are looking to start engaging with business students as sophomores, or even during their first year in college!

To help get our students prepared for internships and full time jobs, Daniels Career Services, in conjunction with the Undergraduate Programs Office, has created the Daniels Professional Development Program (DPDP). DPDP is designed to help you achieve success by fine tuning your leadership skills, ethical development and business communications.

Bill and Beth Suitts

Graduate Career Services was made possible through the generous support of Bill and Beth Suitts. William J. “Bill” Suitts (1923-2012) was an incredible man who impacted many people around him. On June 12, 1948, Bill married Elizabeth Charlet in Kewanee, Illinois. He served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army Air Corps during WW II. Bill founded Colorado Mortgage Co. in 1958 and provided financing for residential projects in Boulder County for more than 5,000 single family homes. Bill was responsible for the creation of local landmark neighborhoods such as Boulder’s Martin Acres, Keewaydin Meadows and Frasier Meadows, Centennial Valley and Continental View in Louisville and Indian Peaks in Lafayette. He even acquired the only known official record of the downing of Glen Miller’s plane over the English Channel during the war.

As a graduate of the Daniels College of Business (Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, 1949 and Master of Science in Business Administration, 1950) Bill and Beth passionately supported Graduate Career Services. Bill was always generous with his time to others. He served on the YMCA Board of Directors and the American Music Research Center at CU. As an avid baseball enthusiast and suffering Chicago Cubs fan, Bill supported local youth baseball and had the “Suitts Field” at Scott Carpenter Park named in honor of his longtime support. He was active in the Optimists and loved hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.

Meet Our Donors

Andy and Barbara Taylor

Andy Taylor, the chairman and CEO of Enterprise Holdings, parent company of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, and his wife, Barbara, are both alumni of the University and are long-time supporters of the College. With this gift of $5 million to establish undergraduate career services, the Taylors have given a total of $11 million in support of the Daniels College of Business. In 2011, they gave the University a gift of $5 million in support of Taylor Scholarships to foster diversity among undergraduate students attending the Daniels College of Business. That gift followed a previous donation of $1 million that established the Taylor Scholarship endowment. The University of Denver matched the Taylors’ 2011 gift of $5 million, bringing the total Taylor Scholarship fund to $11 million. In addition, Enterprise Holdings has provided internship opportunities for Daniels students, supported service projects, and Andy Taylor presented at the Daniels College of Business 2010–2011 Voices of Experience season, a signature speaker series that features C-level executives and business leaders.

Founded in 1957, Enterprise Holdings is the most comprehensive service provider in the car-rental industry. Its worldwide network of Enterprise, National and Alamo branches includes almost 7,800 neighborhood and airport locations, with 6,000 offices located within 15 miles of 90 percent of the U.S. population. Enterprise Holdings is owned by the Taylor family and is the only investment-grade company in the U.S. car-rental industry.
