Daniels College of Business building long-term partnership

Institution leaders meet to finalize agreement.

The University of Denver is pleased to announce an agreement with the Indian Institute for Management Indore (IIM Indore) which aims to develop academic and educational collaboration and to encourage mutual understanding between the two institutes.

Established in 1996, IIM Indore is a leader in the field of management education, having triple crown accreditation with EQUIS, AACSB and the AMBA, as well as a top ranking of business school’s in India. It offers a handful of academic and executive programs in management and Human Resources.

“We are planning to offer a program where IIM Indore students will have an option to pursue an additional year of study at DU to earn a graduate certificate,” said DU Provost Mary Clark. “This agreement will focus on several key initiatives supported by the Office of Internationalization, with a long-term goal of expanding collaborative initiatives to other academic units. We also look forward to providing reciprocal opportunities for faculty to teach and conduct research with international counterparts.”

The agreement was signed Thursday, Oct. 22 by Provost Mary Clark, IIM Indore Director Himanshu Rai and Daniels College of Business Dean Vivek Choudhury.

“IIM Indore currently has collaborations with more than 35 foreign universities and this is yet another effort to offer students with an opportunity to exchange ideas and do research projects at DU,” Rai said.

“This is a great opportunity for our business students to study abroad in India and for us to recruit students from India to the Daniels College of Business,” Choudhury said. “We look forward to building a long-term partnership with IIM Indore.”

The Institutes will now team up for activities in the academic areas of joint interest; which includes the exchange of academic & administrative staff and students; conducting combined research projects and lectures.
