Elevate Ethics hosted by DU’s Institute for Enterprise Ethics

The Institute for Enterprise Ethics at the Daniels College of Business hosts the sixth annual Elevate Ethics Tuesday, May 14, at 6 p.m. in the Reiman Theater in Margery Reed Hall at the University of Denver. Four panelists will answer questions about the ethical implications of artificial intelligence, known as AI.

The Elevate the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence panel discussion will feature:

Four DU professors with expertise in AI-related topics will ask questions of the panelists:

  • Anamika Barman-Adhikari, assistant professor of social work
  • Doug Allen, associate professor of management
  • Bruce Klaw, assistant professor of business ethics and legal studies
  • Mohammad Mahoor, professor of electrical and computer engineering

The discussion will be moderated by Tamara Chuang, co-founder and writer for The Colorado Sun.

“As AI becomes more pervasive, concerns about the ethics of AI applications become more urgent,” said Lorenzo Patelli, director of the Institute and associate professor of accountancy. “The Institute for Enterprise Ethics is proud to engage professionals, researchers and students from different disciplines in such an important conversation for the future of our society.”
