Eight of the region’s colleges and schools of business — four of them from Colorado — will take part in The Daniels Fund’s second annual ethics competition.

In-state participants in The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative’s Consortium Case Competition include business students from Colorado State University, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, the University of Denver and the University of Northern Colorado.

Other participating schools are New Mexico State University, the University of New Mexico, the University of Utah and the University of Wyoming.

The students will be judged by a blue-ribbon panel of business leaders on how they handle a business ethics case designed to resemble a situation that might come up in their professional careers.

The schools are members of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative, founded in 2009 to foster business ethics. The Daniels Fund supports the collegiate ethics programs with grants.

The competition will be staged Friday at the Denver Marriott City Center, with a mixer and dinner the night before.
