Outstanding career resources, a strong alumni network and a direct correlation to professional success set the Daniels College of Business apart from its competitors, according to the latest Poets&Quants list of Top Online MBA Programs. Daniels jumped 10 spots in the 2025 rankings, the second-largest increase of any institution.
Daniels now comes in at No. 20, a testament to the way the College prepares its students to succeed after graduation.
“Our Online MBA program produces strategic leaders and problem solvers,” said Naomi Boyd, dean of the Daniels College of Business. “In their classes, students tackle real challenges facing real companies; the lessons they learn are directly applicable to the industries that most interest them.”
The Online MBA is designed for working professionals and offers flexible scheduling options. Students can earn a degree in as little as 21 months. The curriculum includes core and elective courses, two in-person immersions and a real-world capstone project. Live sessions for each course are held at a scheduled time each week, and you complete your remaining coursework on your schedule. Students also have the option to complete any of the courses in person on the University of Denver campus.
“Even though students are earning their degree online, it is important that they build meaningful connections with their faculty and classmates,” said Suzy Lindley, senior program director, MBA programs. “The Daniels program is special because it blends remote learning with a high-touch experience. Your professors and fellow studentswill know you by name, not just as a face on a screen.”
To devise its rankings, Poets&Quants surveyed alumni from the Class of 2024 (those graduating between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024) at 57 schools. Recent graduates answer eight questions about their career results and their satisfaction with the career services and resources offered to them through their online MBA program. Responses are categorized into three, equally weighted areas: admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes.
Career services boost job prospects
Although graduate students are only in a Daniels program for 1-2 years, the College offer resources for life, beginning the moment they deposit to enroll. Students can explore career options, prepare for interviews, advance their own professional development and build successful business networks.
Individual career coaches provide personal attention, helping students find opportunities that are right for them. One-on-one appointments can include resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, career exploration, social media reviews and salary negotiation. Students also gain access to a full schedule of career events and networking opportunities. Plus, a login to Pioneer Careers Online provides access to job boards and contact information for recruiters and companies.
As a result, more than half of Online MBA alumni surveyed say they received a promotion or a raise as a result of their degree.
