Beta Gamma Sigma at Daniels
The Daniels College of Business Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter is the 24th oldest chapter in the United States, having been founded in 1926. Daniels graduate students are invited to join every quarter. Eligibility is determined in a student’s last quarter by class standing, based on GPA. Graduate students invited to join are in the top 20 percent of their class.
Inductees are awarded a BGS honor pin, a certificate and the BGS cord to wear at commencement.
ABOUT BETA GAMMA SIGMA
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international business honor society for the top 5% of business school programs around the world. It’s analogous to Phi Beta Kappa in the arts and Sigma Xi in the sciences and engineering.

Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

Membership in BGS is the highest recognition a graduate business student can achieve worldwide.
Members currently reside in all 50 U. S. states and more than 190 countries. Notable members include Nobel Prize winners, Olympians, inventors, CEOs of major global companies and nonprofit organizations, deans of the top business schools, and others who are making the world a better place through social enterprise, service, and leadership.

How do I become a BGS member?
Membership to this society is by invitation only. Based on cumulative grade point average, the top 20% of graduate students are invited to join. Faculty members with tenure and selected administrators also qualify to be invited.
What’s the membership fee?
The one-time (lifetime) membership fee is $75.
How can I stay active in the organization after I graduate?
