    Race & Case History

This unique case competition was conceived in 2003 by students at the Daniels College of Business. The idea was to bring national recognition to Daniels through its distinctive curriculum in a manner which would also leverage the pristine surroundings of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. In mid-winter 2004, the students delivered an ethics-based case competition and ski race—aptly named Race & Case.

Top U.S. and international business schools traveled to Colorado from 2004 to 2023 to compete for cash prizes and the opportunity to take home the Daniels Cup. Starting in 2024, Race & Case became a competition exclusively for Daniels graduate students.
