Shira Moffatt

As the executive director of development, Shira serves as the chief development officer for the College, leading fundraising efforts and securing major gifts of $1M+. She oversees the college’s fundraising team and finds inspiration in helping donors match their philanthropic passions with Daniels’ strategic priorities by staying connected to faculty, research, and academic initiatives. Shira brings more than 20 years of development experience to her role, with extensive experience in higher education, marketing and communications, industry and foundation relations, board development, and nonprofit management. Prior to joining DU, Shira served as the assistant vice chancellor of major gifts and partner relations at CU Denver. Originally from the Boston area, Shira holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MS in Management from Lasell University. She spends her leisure time climbing mountains or skiing with her family.
