Profile

Jung H. Kwon has been a tenure-track assistant professor of management at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver since July 2022. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, strategic management and technological innovation. He examines how organizations strategically manage their activities to optimally create and capture economic value from existing and prospective innovation investments. His work is deeply rooted in the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and digitization on technology-intensive sectors. Jung develops theoretical frameworks for management and organizational economics that address societal challenges. His work has been published in Organization ScienceJournal of Management Studies and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, among others. Currently, he reviews papers for Organization ScienceJournal of Business VenturingJournal of Management, and Research Policy, among others.

Jung holds a PhD in Management from UT Dallas. He has received multiple awards for his academic publications and contributions, including recognition from the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. Alongside his scholarly endeavors, Jung brings diverse industry experience, having worked with the United Nations, Fortune 500 multinational enterprises and the U.S. Army. Currently, he serves on the advisory board of an AI startup featured at CES 2025 and 2026.
