Why did you choose Daniels
I chose Daniels because of the great alumni network and its reputation. My wife graduated from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver and encouraged me to look into the program. When I first met with members of the Daniels graduate program staff, I was encouraged by the strong values and dedication to professionalism. I felt it would perfectly fit in with my current employment and career goals.
Previous Education
Bachelor of general Studies from the University of North Dakota.
Pre-Grad School Experience
I enlisted in the U.S. Army as a medic with the Minnesota National Guard in 2007, then commissioned after my bachelor’s degree as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army in 2013. I spent a little over 14 years in the Army, both in National Guard and on active-duty. I medically retired from the Army as a Captain in 2022 following my first command experience. I then pursued positions to develop my technical and interpersonal skills as a program manager.
Post Grad School Goal
My post-MBA goal is to transition into director level positions, capitalizing on my professional experience and education to continue to serve my country. I want to continue to develop and improve, eventually moving into an executive level leadership position.
Hobbies
While I used to enjoy hiking in the mountains of Colorado to go fly fishing, nowadays I enjoy blacksmithing and woodworking from my garage. I greatly enjoy hand-carving wooden canes for my fellow disabled veterans.
