Why did you choose Daniels
The University of Denver has been my dream school since middle school. I first visited campus for a conference raising awareness about the genocide in Darfur, and I immediately fell in love with the environment and the culture. At the time, I wasn’t a strong candidate for DU as an undergrad, but I committed myself to working hard during my undergraduate studies—and that dedication eventually made me eligible to apply to DU for grad school.
When I decided to pursue my MBA, I wasn’t sure I’d get in, but I applied anyway—and I’m so glad I did. Getting accepted was an unforgettable moment; I was overjoyed. Attending DU has already proven to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m excited to see what lies ahead as I continue the program and eventually join the incredible network of DU alumni.
Previous Education
Bachelor of Science in human resources management from Southern New Hampshire University
Pre-Grad School Experience
Six years U.S. Army, undergrad at SNHU, 10 years professional work experience
Post Grad School Goal
I plan to open my own human resources consulting firm and help companies learn to treat their employees with respect and honor while keeping profits up.
Hobbies
I don’t have a lot of free time for hobbies because I work full time, attend grad school full time, and I have a four-and-a-half-year-old little girl who is the absolute light of my life. When I do have free time, I enjoy spending time with my little one and friends and family. I deeply enjoy reading on the rare occasion that I have some time to spend by myself!
