The Bailey Program for Family Enterprise hosted an engaging roundtable that explored the latest developments in family philanthropy. Participants learned from Jon Kraus (University of Denver) and Sarah Ehrhardt (PNC Private Bank), two distinguished experts spanning estate planning, planned giving, and wealth strategy. Together, they shared timely and relevant insights into how families can work with one another—and with trusted advisors—to create a values-driven and strategically advantageous approach to their social impact efforts.

This interactive session covered:

  • The evolving role of Donor Advised Funds

  • Innovative approaches for family businesses, including gifting business assets

  • The Big Beautiful Bill’s implications for philanthropy

  • Strategies for engaging the next generation in giving decisions

  • Governance and decision-making within a family

  • Legal and financial considerations, including choosing the right structure, legacy planning, and estate planning implications

  • Approaches to addressing cognitive impairment in family decision-making

Participants walked away with practical tools, fresh perspectives, and a deeper understanding of how to align their family’s wealth, values, and legacy for greater impact.
