Six teams will refine new technologies in the 2025 summer accelerator program

Entering its fourth year, BASE Camp is a summer bootcamp for University of Denver degree-seeking students and alumni with emerging businesses. With the help of mentors and industry experts, and a $5,000 stipend, six select teams will jumpstart their entrepreneurial visions throughout the five-week intensive program. They’ll have access to a private office, coworking space, maker space and curated workshops during the summer accelerator, which runs from late July through August, at The Garage on the University of Denver’s campus. Meet the Summer 2025 BASE Camp cohort of business leaders leveraging artificial intelligence and other technologies to solve problems for the greater good:

Sean O’Connor

Vivaday–A B2C higher education marketplace
Founded by Sean O’Connor (BA 2023, film production and entrepreneurship)

Vivaday is an information exchange platform where prospective college students can receive information from current college students to add transparency to the college search process. Vivaday provides a searchable video library of student testimonials about their experiences with academics and campus life—valuable insight that prospective students can’t get from polished brochures or scripted tours. Prospective students also can submit questions—and current students receive compensation for their recorded answers. Inspired by his own experience transferring to a new university, O’Connor says the platform helps high schoolers make more informed decisions about the schools and majors that are the best fit—decreasing transfer rates and increasing on-time graduation rates and student satisfaction. He hopes his BASE Camp experience will help him clarify and focus Vivaday’s mission, create a seamless user experience and ensure the business is set up for immediate and long-term success.

InsightAI–A B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) company
Founded by Jacob Brassard (third-year undergraduate student, history) and Peter Stamm (graduate student, computer science)

InsightAI is a subscription-based SaaS company that helps small-to-medium-sized businesses easily extract meaningful insights from large amounts of data (think customer reviews, support call logs, sales calls and competitive analyses). Employees can use InsightAI to make data-informed business decisions by asking questions about business operations, customer experience, product sales and more. InsightAI delivers clear answers by quickly searching and synthesizing large, unstructured data sets—something few companies have the tools or bandwidth to handle. InsightAI is currently in the beta testing phase with two companies. Brassard and Stramm hope participating in BASE Camp will help them scale their infrastructure, understand their options for fundraising and revenue growth and land their first paying customers with a validated product.

Aminata Diarra

Naheem Noah

Carenector–A B2B/B2C health technology company
Founded by Naheem Noah (PhD candidate, computer science) and Aminata Diarra (MSW), a long-term care social worker

Carenector is an AI-powered healthcare referral platform that streamlines patient care by matching patients with facilities based on real-time availability, insurance compatibility and care needs. Carenector helps both facilities—by filling open appointment slots—and patients—by quickly matching them with the best facilities for their healthcare needs. Through BASE Camp, Noah and Diarra aim to refine their business model and go-to-market strategy. They plan to use the funding support to complete a fully functional prototype and begin testing it with healthcare providers by the end of the program.

Meowshroom–A B2C creative technology company
Founded by Murphy Li (BA 2024, computer science)

Meowshroom is a community-driven platform designed to empower independent game developers, digital artists and small-to-mid-sized game studios—especially those from international, cross-cultural and underrepresented backgrounds. Meowshroom provides access to collaborative tools, mentorship and curated resources to foster sustainable growth and meaningful connections. Li is building a core team, testing platform features and forming partnerships. The platform is in its early-stage prototype phase, with more than 600 multilingual community members. She envisions Meowshroom as a “structured, trustworthy hub for emerging talent to thrive and grow together.” Through BASE Camp, Li hopes to validate the platform’s next steps, expand its support network and transform her vision into a scalable solution that nurtures the “next wave of overlooked game creatives.”

Hunter Green–B2B2C mental health technology company
Founded by David Meehan (graduate student, AI strategy)

David Meehan

Hunter Green is a mental-health technology company bridging Meehan’s lived experience in psychotherapy with his enterprise AI product expertise. The platform allows licensed psychotherapists and coaches to generate highly customized AI assistants that faithfully capture their voice, tone and therapeutic modalities. These assistants can be embedded in a clinician’s existing care plan—providing emotionally attuned check-ins, skills reminders and crisis de-escalation between sessions—or offered as a standalone support option for individuals who are not ready for the cost or time commitment of regular therapy. By absorbing after-hours questions and reinforcing treatment goals, the AI assistants ease provider burnout while creating a sustainable revenue stream that scales with each interaction. During BASE Camp, Meehan and his advisory team will refine the current prototype into a privacy-first, clinically sound minimum viable product. The product will be centered around ethical design, client-practitioner trust and emotional safety. Meehan says Hunter Green’s mission is simple: human-first care with 24/7 support and low-barrier access to mental health care.

StageReady–A B2B/B2C entertainment technology company
Founded by Harrison Tarr (third-year undergraduate student, music, entrepreneurship and business administration)

Harrison Tarr

StageReady offers a platform for live music booking that connects vetted, high-quality musicians with clients wanting to hire live music talent for personal and corporate events. Tarr says finding and booking musical talent is unnecessarily cumbersome. And, as a professional musician himself, he attests that it’s also difficult for bands and performers to market themselves to the right audience. His platform simplifies the process on all sides—including coordinating important logistical details like venue and equipment requirements. StageReady is piloting its minimum viable product with a band of student musicians from DU’s Lamont School of Music and event planning staff at the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management. Tarr plans to use the BASE Camp grant to invest in sound and recording equipment, marketing materials and website costs to support long-term growth.

“Music has always been central to my life, but I’ve realized that success in the industry requires more than talent—it demands strategy, innovation and business acumen,” Tarr says. “My goal is to lead by example, proving that passion and business can coexist, and that creative entrepreneurs deserve just as much space in the startup world as anyone else.”

Entrepreneurship@DU director Joshua Ross says this year’s teams “stand out as exceptional candidates for BASE Camp not just because of the strength and diversity of their ideas, but because of their mindset. They bring a real commitment to learning, a willingness to take feedback and iterate, and a clear understanding of the problems they are solving.”
