Volunteer Income Tax Assistance at DU
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is an IRS-sponsored organization that provides free, confidential, and secure preparation of Federal and State income taxes for qualifying taxpayers. The University of Denver’s VITA program started as a program for students who wanted to gain experience preparing tax returns and dealing with international tax treaties. A professional is present at each session.
VITA is a student run program through Beta Alpha Psi (BAP). BAP is sponsored by the School of Accountancy, however VITA is separate from the SoA. To learn more about VITA, schedule an appointment, or contact the directors visit us online.
