Women in Business at the Daniels College of Business is an organization dedicated to providing this increasing population of women with a sense of community and collaboration, access to strong female role models, and education on topics that matter to them.

2016-2017 Officers

Jillian Stafford | President
Jillian Stafford is a full-time MBA student at Daniels College of Business. Jillian grew up in the Denver area, has a B.A. in Philosophy from Tulane University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Before coming to Daniels, Jillian worked both domestically and internationally in business development and in the legal profession. Jillian is concentrating in Finance at Daniels and is interested in business strategy, management consulting, and the insurance industry.

Alison Ford | Executive Vice President & VP of Marketing
Alison Ford is a full-time MBA student at Daniels graduating in 2017. Before coming to Daniels, Alison worked primarily in external relations and communications for a variety of areas including media, bio-tech, non-profit, and in the green/restaurant industries for one of the pioneers of the organic movement. Further, she held production roles at CNN, ABC News, Good Morning America, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She is pursuing concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurship concurrently with a certificate in Global Business and Corporate Social Responsibility from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. She grew up in Arizona and California, and recently relocated to Colorado from Washington, DC (where she maintains a presence). Alison holds a B.S. in Sociology from Arizona State University where she concentrated on the role and influence of mass media.

2015-2016 Officers

Katie Wear | President
Katie Wear is a Full-time MBA student at Daniels. Katie grew up in Vail, Colorado and graduated with a BA in Public Policy from Duke University. Katie has worked with nonprofits focusing on business development, for a real estate development firm focusing on sustainability, and with an investment bank focusing on institutional equity sales. Katie is concentrating in Finance at Daniels and is working for East West Partners in real estate development upon graduation.

Qing Han | VP of International Student Affairs
Qing Han came from China and gained her Master’s Degree in Marketing in China before she moved to the U.S.. She is currently studying in the Full-time MBA program with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. She also had three years of work experience in manufacturing for a Danish company in China.

Kaley Rickert | VP of Marketing

Kaley Rickert is an MBA student graduating in June 2016. She grew up in Colorado Springs and attended DU for her undergraduate studies. Kaley got a BA at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies in International Studies and a BA in Political Science. Kaley also has a minor in Business Administration. In conjunction with her studies Kaley is a Graduate Supervisor with Marketing and In-Event Promotions for the University of Denver Athletics and Recreation. Kaley enjoys traveling, skiing, wakeboarding and spending time with family and friends.

Wenting Mu | VP of Treasury
Wenting Mu is a full-time MAcc student. She grew up in China and earned her BS in Finance degree in Shanghai University. She is currently interning with an architecture firm as an accounting assistant. Outside of school, Wenting enjoys watching soccer matches, and playing puzzle and building block games.
