Email me with questions about the MS in Accounting Technology and Analytics.

Why did you choose Daniels

I chose Daniels because of its strong reputation for combining rigorous academic preparation with real-world application. The MS in Applied Quantitative Finance program is uniquely designed to provide deep technical knowledge in financial modeling, investment management and risk analysis while also emphasizing ethical leadership and global perspectives. I was especially drawn to the experiential learning opportunities, where students work directly with industry professionals on real business challenges.

What excites me most is the chance to gain hands-on exposure through unique opportunities such as the Walk Down Wall Street experience and managing real money through the Marsico Investment Fund. These platforms go beyond theory and provide the kind of preparation I need to excel in a competitive global finance environment.

Previous Education

Bachelor of commerce in accounting, University of Cape Coast, Ghana

Pre-Grad School Experience

Before starting at Daniels, I served as a branch manager in the rural banking industry in Ghana. Over the years, I led teams to grow deposits, improve customer access to financial services and strengthen internal controls to mitigate fraud risks. I also played a key role in training staff, negotiating with regulatory bodies and designing strategies that improved profitability and reduced loan defaults. These experiences solidified my interest in finance and motivated me to pursue advanced study in quantitative finance.

Post Grad School Goal

My goal after graduate school is to pursue a career in finance where I can leverage advanced quantitative skills to solve complex business problems and support strategic decision-making. I am particularly interested in areas such as investment analysis, corporate finance and risk management, where I can combine technical expertise with leadership to create value and drive growth in organizations.

Hobbies

I enjoy mentoring young people, cheering on my favorite soccer teams, discovering new music (from pop to soft rock and country), diving into interesting videos on YouTube and unwinding with a good video game in my free time.
