Biography at a Glance
Scott Nycum is a Vice Chairman in J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank, based in Denver, Colorado. In addition to various internal responsibilities, Nycum advises clients on personal wealth management and delivers the firm’s investment, estate planning, trust and banking services.
Nycum joined J.P. Morgan in New York in 1974. From 1975-1983, he worked with corporate clients in the mining and heavy construction industries as well as large multi-nationals. Nycum was assigned to Melbourne, Australia from 1983-1988. As Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Australia Ltd., he was responsible for Morgan’s business in Australia and New Zealand, which included investment management, investment banking, foreign exchange and money market activities.
Nycum received a B.A. in History from Williams College (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MA from Oxford University (Political Science/Economics). Nycum is married with three children and resides in Greenwood Village, CO. He currently serves on the Boards of Children’s Hospital Colorado, the Daniels College of Business School at the University of Denver, the Denver Scholarship Foundation and the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum.
