Why did you choose Daniels
I chose Daniels because I have a GIS graduate certificate from the University of Denver. And, as a veteran, DU has been amazing. Also, DU and Daniels have a world-class reputation and they have online options, which is so helpful to someone who works full-time and does not live in Colorado.
Previous Education
I have a BS in business administration, with an emphasis in management and marketing from the University of Montana, and a graduate certificate in geographic information systems from the University of Denver.
Pre-Grad School Experience
I joined the U.S. Coast Guard after I graduated college and served for five years as a maritime enforcement specialist. Once I was separated from the military, I started a career in law enforcement and have worked for the National Park Service; the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Department; and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Currently, I am the training sergeant for the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office in Bozeman, Montana.
Post Grad School Goal
My goal post grad school is to transition from my career in law enforcement into the private sector. I honestly do not know what that looks like yet, but I know Daniels will help me open doors that lead to opportunities I did not know existed.
Hobbies
In addition to being a father to a beautiful three-year-old girl and a husband to an amazingly supportive wife, I coach U-19 rugby in our area. I am also an avid split boarder and I enjoy mountain biking along with trail running. I am most happy outside, no matter the season.
