Why did you choose Daniels?

I chose the Daniels College of Business because it offered the only Executive MBA program I could find that aligned with my goals. While many universities provided traditional MBA options, I was specifically seeking an EMBA that would not only enhance my business acumen but also deepen my leadership capabilities. Daniels stood out for its fully in-person format tailored to working professionals, and its emphasis on experiential learning—through the sailing trip, international travel experiences and the social impact project. The University of Denver’s reputation and recognition as one of the top business schools in the world also had an impact on my decision to enroll.

Previous Education

  • Bachelor of Liberal Arts in elementary education from University of Colorado Denver
  • Master of Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix

Pre-Grad School Experience

Prior to joining Daniels, I dedicated 14 years to nonprofit work and leadership and over two decades to the early childhood education sector. Most recently, I served for more than three years as chief innovation officer at an early childhood nonprofit, where I led strategic initiatives in business and product development, sales and organizational growth. My role also encompassed oversight of research and evaluation projects, quality improvement efforts, and the design and delivery of coaching and training programs for early childhood educators.

Post Grad School Goal

My goal after grad school is to become a CEO or COO for a mission-driven company committed to creating meaningful social and environmental impact.

Hobbies

Traveling, fishing, hiking, painting and landscape photography.
