Jung H. Kwon is an assistant professor of management at the Daniels College of Business and a 2023-24 faculty affiliate for the Center on American Politics at the University of Denver. His research interests include strategic management of intellectual property rights and technology-based entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on value creation and capture strategies as well as the economics of entrepreneurship. Jung develops theoretical frameworks for organizational and entrepreneurial economics that address societal challenges. His research has been published in Organization Science, the Journal of Management Studies, etc. Currently, he serves as a reviewer for Organization Science, the Journal of Business Venturing, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, peer-reviewed academic research journals.

Jung holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from UT Dallas. He received multiple awards based on his academic publications and doctoral dissertation from major scholarly conferences such as the Academy of Management. He also has various industry experiences including the U.N., Fortune 500 multinational enterprises, and the U.S. Army (honorably discharged as a sergeant with the Army Commendation Medal).
