Profile
Jung H. Kwon is an assistant professor of management at the Daniels College of Business. His research interests include strategic management of intellectual property rights and technology-based entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on value creation and capture strategies as well as the economics of entrepreneurship. Jung develops theoretical frameworks for organizational and entrepreneurial economics that address societal challenges. His research has been published in Organization Science, the Journal of Management Studies, etc. Currently, he serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Business Venturing and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, both peer-reviewed academic research journals.
Jung holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from UT Dallas and won best dissertation awards from major academic conferences. Also, he has various industry experiences including the UN, multinational enterprises and the U.S. Army (honorably discharged as a sergeant with the Army Commendation Medal).
