Jeffrey R. Tarr is a five-time CEO, independent director and CEO coach. Most recently, he served as CEO of Skillsoft. He led the company through its 2021 IPO and built it into the leading provider of rich multi-modal learning experiences and a Generative AI innovator serving 70% of the Fortune 1000. Prior to Skillsoft, Jeff was CEO of DigitalGlobe, the leader in satellite imagery and geospatial intelligence, until the sale of the company to MDA (now Maxar Technologies). He was also president and COO of IHS (now part of S&P Global) and chairman and CEO of Hoover’s (now part of Dun & Bradstreet). He began his career with Bain & Company.

Currently, Jeff serves on the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council and previously chaired the school’s Management Board. He also serves on the board of Sayari and previously served on the boards of EchoStar until its merger with DISH and CEB until its sale to Gartner. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jeff received an undergraduate degree from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
