Favorite DU moment
My favorite moment at DU has been my time in the accounting core. Spending three quarters with the same cohort of students has given me many life-long friendships, memories and great professional connections.
Media you recommend
I highly recommend reading The Trial by Franz Kafka, The Doctrine of the Mean and WSJ.
Favorite way to get involved on campus
Outside of study, I give my time to DU’s Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society as the VP of professional development. On top of hosting professional accounting activities, I’ve had the honor of organizing and overseeing the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance / Tax Counseling for the Elderly (VITA / TCE) effort. Partnering with DU Law, Daniels Graduate and Undergraduate programs, we have been able to assemble 60 volunteers from all backgrounds for the 2024 tax season!
Favorite place to relax
My favorite spot on campus is the accounting office and Schneider Boardroom – free coffee, friends and a great view is hard to beat.
Favorite campus event to attend
One of my favorite DU events is Winter Carnival. I love skiing and having another excuse to get out and get more runs in with friends is great.
One piece of advice that you would tell your first-year self
Find excuses to stay busy and take pride in getting things done and done well.
