Daniels College of Business full-time Denver MBA and part-time Professional MBA receive recognition
U.S. News and World Report released its 2023 Best Graduate Schools ranking March 29. U.S. News ranked two MBA programs at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business in the top 100.
The full-time Denver MBA is ranked No. 71, up from No. 77 last year. The part-time Professional MBA program is ranked No. 75.
“The rankings are a reflection of the hard work we’ve put into an exceptional student experience, and we’re delighted to see the full-time Denver MBA continue to climb in the rankings,” says Daniels Dean Vivek Choudhury. “We know our challenge-driven curriculum prepares all of our MBA students for the workforce; we see the results in our placement outcomes.”
In the Denver MBA curriculum, students compete in four challenges, instead of completing a series of traditional courses. The students get to test and refine their skills in real business settings. The challenges entail building a startup, supporting an organization working for the social good, solving a corporate problem and traveling outside the U.S. to work for a global organization.
Each of the 493 business schools in the U.S. News rankings are accredited by the international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and were surveyed in fall 2021 and early 2022. The full-time MBA methodology calculations are based on peer assessment, recruiter assessment, placement success, GMAT and GRE scores, undergraduate GPA and acceptance rates.
“We’re determined to equip our students to perform so well, they are indispensable to their organizations,” says Carol Johnson, assistant dean of MBA Programs. “These rankings show the caliber of all of our MBA programs and the value of providing academic and co-curricular programming.”
U.S. News collects similar data but uses different methodology for part-time MBA programs.
In January, U.S. News also released its 2022 Best Online MBA Programs ranking. The MBA@Denver, Daniels’ online MBA program, was ranked No. 69 in the nation.
