Hands-on learning opportunities, individualized student support and post-graduate success have given the Daniels College of Business a coveted spot on two respected lists of top online MBA programs.
In its latest rankings, Poets&Quants placed Daniels 29th—the only Colorado business school on the list. U.S. News and World Report ranks the program at No. 93.

The Daniels Online MBA (OMBA) is a completely online degree designed for working professionals and offers flexible scheduling options. Students can earn a degree in as little as 21 months. The curriculum includes core and elective courses, two in-person immersions and a real-world capstone project. Students hone their strategic problem-solving skills by exploring case studies and organizational challenges faced by today’s businesses.
At Daniels, students receive personalized support from a dedicated advisor through every step of the program, as well as lifelong one-on-one career coaching from Daniels Career Services. Small class sizes spark meaningful relationships with faculty and other students.

Most OMBA classes can be taken on campus, meaning students have many opportunities to meet in person. That’s not to mention on-the-ground immersions in cities around the world. A newly introduced City Trek Immersion recently took students to Denver hotspots—such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Meow Wolf and MacGregor Square—for a closer examination of the city’s entertainment industry.
Those experiences lead to post-grad success. Ninety-two percent of OMBA graduates from 2022-24 say the degree helped them prepare for their job. Two in three grads made more than $100,000 in their first year after graduation. A network of more than 40,000 Daniels alumni awaits.
A top program for veterans
U.S. News and World Report also ranked the Daniels OMBA at No. 56 on its list of top programs for veterans—a testament to the comprehensive support the University of Denver provides to those who have served.
For starters, Daniels offers unlimited Yellow Ribbon funding for all of its graduate programs, ensuring veterans and active-duty military can have access to a high-quality education. The College’s advisors, admissions officers and faculty have extensive experience working with the specialized demographic.
Once they’re in the classroom, veterans say it’s a natural fit. The curriculum focuses on discussion, collaboration and team problem solving.
