Fortune Best part-time MBA programs 2024 The Daniels College of Business Part-time Professional MBA (PMBA) continued its climb up the list of Fortune Education’s Best Part-Time MBA Programs. On the 2024 list, the PMBA ranked No. 21, jumping eight places from the year prior. No other Colorado business school is among Fortune’s top 50.

“Fortune’s latest rankings are a testament to the way our MBA programs have changed the game for our students—and for the organizations that benefit from their immediate contributions,” said Vivek Choudhury, dean of the Daniels College of Business. “Daniels graduates are known as problem-solvers, comfortable taking on challenges of any size with the critical thinking skills they gained throughout their time on campus.”

The magazine’s 2024 rankings consider a variety of factors, such as price, student backgrounds and alumni outcomes. One-fifth of the ranking is determined by analyzing the number of C-level executives at Fortune 1000 companies who received an MBA from a particular institution. Another 10% is a reflection of the school’s public perception, through the lens of annual search volume.

Part-time MBA programs can often be overlooked, Fortune’s expert consultants said, but they are valuable tools for professionals looking to reach the next level of their careers or change industries. One of the biggest perks, they note, is the ability to immediately apply what they learn to their current jobs—a hallmark of the Daniels PMBA.

At Daniels, 94% of employed PMBA graduates received a salary increase within four months of graduation, according to the most recently available data. The average salary increase was 52%. Lowell Valencia-Miller, assistant dean of MBA programs, says those numbers exemplify a unique, challenge-based approach to curriculum that directly translates to each graduate’s resume.

“Our students learn by doing,” Valencia-Miller said. “During their program, students serve as consultants to real organizations with genuine business problems. Plus, our immersive international and leadership experiences create a tight-knit cohort—which becomes a business network after graduation.”

The part-time Professional MBA is designed for early- to mid-career professionals wanting to progress in their careers. The 21-month program meets in the evenings so working professionals can continue in their current positions while they get their education.

Daniels also offers a full-time MBA, which was recently ranked No. 87 by U.S. News & World Report, and an Online MBA, which rose to the No. 30 spot on the most recent Poets&Quants list of top programs. In March, CEO Magazine ranked the Daniels Executive MBA program No. 4 in North America and No. 13 in the world.
