Alicia Zervas
Alicia Zervas arrived at the Burns School with an impressive background and a clear vision for how she planned to use her graduate degree. Along the way, her natural curiosity and open-mindedness broadened her perspective, opening doors to new opportunities that she embraced with enthusiasm, which is why she is both a current leader on the Burns Alumni Network and this edition’s alumni spotlight and shares her journey with us.
The past few years have been both transitional and transformative for me. Since graduating from the Burns School in 2023, I’ve had the opportunity to step into a new industry, support emerging female leaders and remain closely connected to the Burns community. It’s not every day someone makes a leap later in their career and finds it to be one of the most fulfilling chapters yet.
Today, I’m an associate with Cushman & Wakefield’s Rocky Mountain Residential Land Services team, where I focus on investment land sales for multifamily, mixed-use and energy development across the Front Range. I’m fortunate to work alongside some of the brightest, funniest, and most talented people I’ve met in my 25+-year career. Together, our team of six collaborates to advise on complex, high-impact real estate transactions that combine strategy, creativity and relationships in meaningful ways.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, my career brought years of operational and relationship-driven experience across multiple industries before coming back to real estate. The Burns School played a pivotal role in sharpening my analytical foundation and reinforcing the importance of leadership, integrity and community; values that continue to guide my work today. Upon graduating from DU, I had the privilege of being a mentee and committee member of The Susan Stanton Leadership Academy. This program strengthened my leadership capabilities and provided meaningful mentorship, connection and professional development.
That same focus on leadership and connection extends into my role supporting the Burns Alumni Network. Alongside other dedicated alumni leaders and officers, I’m committed to strengthening relationships between alumni, students and industry professionals while creating meaningful opportunities for connection, community and long-term engagement.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, traveling, skiing, golfing, yoga, cooking (and eating), and going to concerts.
