Andrew McClaskey a Daniels BSAcc/MAcc student recently accepted a position with KPMG as an Audit Associate. He credits Career Services with initially helping him develop his personal brand. His hard work to develop a strong résumé his first year on campus proved helpful when it came time for him to apply for internships.
Andrew utilized Career services when preparing for his interviews. “I felt prepared to perform in all of my interviews,” he notes. “Career services also connected me to individuals in industry which I identified as potential interests and allowed me to connect with them and learn about different career paths.”
Andrew’s best advice to students still searching is to network with everybody, including but not limited to professors, classmates, professionals, etc. Andrew says, “the more you practice the easier and more useful it becomes.”
